The fast n furious (meglev)

Hi!  guys this is my third blog after joining this web site . I am a kind of blogger who write very rearly because I write only when I have a solid stuff to contribute among my frnds! or i got urge from inside to write . My today's situation is also kind of that . Well that was all bakwas which i knowingly bored u :) . Now coming to the motto of writing this blog . Few days back if being precise then day before yesterday in my class my physics teacher started a new chapter  Oh! i know I know u might be thinking what the hell is this he waisted our precious time for a dumb physics lesson . Well i would like to say Yes bcoz some time in our dumb syllabus also we might find very interesting lessons . like this one yes my dear frnds my teacher started a  chapter called application of superconductivity well I don want to tell much about what superconductivity what I wanted to tell is the best application of superconductivity is MEGLEV (Magnetic Elevated Vehicle) commonly called bullet trains.

             The bullets trains are magnetically  levitated over a guide ways (Track). The principal is that there is two magnets fitted one in the guide way another on the bottom of the carriage.The magnetized coil running along the track, called a guideway, repels the large magnets on the train's undercarriage, allowing the train to levitate between 0.39 and 3.93 inches (1 to 10 cm) above the guide way. Once the train is levitated, power is supplied to the coils within the guideway walls to create a unique system of magnetic fields that pull and push the train along the guideway. The electric current supplied to the coils in the guideway walls is constantly alternating to change the polarity of the magnetized coils. This change in polarity causes the magnetic field in front of the train to pull the vehicle forward, while the magnetic field behind the train adds more forward thrust.



Meglev trains runs on the cushion of air eliminating friction . This lack of friction and its aerodynamic model helps the train to reach a very high speed . The  maximum tested speed by this train is around 720 km/hrs but govt has restricted to 500km/hrs.




These trains are provided with retractable wheels.The wheels serve almost the same purpose as those of an aeroplane. With the wheels the vehicle runs on the guide way as the airplane runs during take off. Once it is levitated in air , the wheels are retracted into the body .
The height these vehicles are levitated is 10 to 15 cm. While stopping the wheels are slowly drawn out and the vehicle slowly settles.on the guide ways by running over a distance as an airplane does while landing.


Now the best advantage of this train over the airplane is that . These planes uses less fuel or very minimum amount of energy as compared to airplane and also these trains can Carry a large nos of people which is literally impossible for a domestic airplanes.so that's all .
